Jordan Sanchez is a graduate of Harvard University, where she concentrated in Mathematics with a secondary in Psychology. She currently works in Marketing in New York City.

Born and raised in the Bronx, she has always loved sharing her perspective through creative writing. Now a spoken word poet dedicated to leaving the world better than she found it, her words have reached hundreds of millions of people, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, and more. She has done commissioned work for the United Nations Environment Programme, writing and performing the curtain raiser film for the 2021 World Environment Day launching the Decade of Restoration, and Everytown for Gun Safety, opening their concert against gun violence, Stay Amped. After being named a finalist in the Climate Museum’s 2019 Climate Speaks competition and performing at the Apollo Theater, she has spoken at several events including Rare Org’s BE.Hive On Campus, the Climate Group’s Climate Week NYC, and the Raben Group’s Raben Respite. She has been featured in various publications and documentaries by PBS, The New Republic, and Reuters.

At the beginning of the pandemic in May 2020, she started her Tiktok, @HappieJordan. Through educational videos and livestreams, she promotes College and Career Readiness to middle, high school, and college students around the world. She grew this page to 100,000 followers in six months and has partnered with big names like Sony Music Entertainment, Honda, and Amazon.

Jordan is a six-time Miss New York, having represented her state and hometown on several national and international stages. Her experience in pageantry has allowed her to help others with their journey in the industry as a coach, judge, volunteer, and director. She is the Founder and Lead Writer of The Queen Next Door LLC, an organization dedicated to empowering young women and girls by helping them achieve their goals through pageantry.
