If there’s something I wanna do, I’m never worried about it fitting my “brand” or making sense. It makes sense because it’s me. My poetry, my TikTok, my blog ⁠— it’s all me. And I think that is my greatest strength.

Jordan has always loved sharing her perspective through creative writing. Now a spoken word poet dedicated to leaving the world better than she found it, her words have reached hundreds of millions of people, including Lizzo, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, and more. She has done commissioned work for the United Nations Environment Programme, writing and performing the curtain raiser film for the 2021 World Environment Day, and Everytown for Gun Safety, opening their concert against gun violence, Stay Amped. After being named a finalist in the Climate Museum’s 2019 Climate Speaks competition and performing at the Apollo Theater, she has spoken at several events including Rare Org’s BE.Hive On Campus, Climate Week NYC, and the Raben Group’s Raben Respite. She has been featured in various publications and documentaries by PBS, The New Republic, Reuters, and more. Jordan’s work is currently in the Peabody Essex Museum’s Climate Action exhibit.

Jordan is a Junior at Harvard University concentrating in Mathematics and Teaching with a secondary in Educational Studies. As a participant in the Undergraduate Teachers Education Program by the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she will graduate with a K-12 Teaching Certification valid in Massachusetts and its states with reciprocity agreements.

At the beginning of the pandemic in May 2020, she started her Tiktok, @HappieJordan. Through educational videos and livestreams, she promotes College and Career Readiness to middle, high school, and college students around the world. She grew this page to 100,000 followers in six months and has partnered with big names like Sony Music Entertainment, Honda, and Amazon.

Jordan is a six-time Miss New York, having represented her state and hometown on several national and international stages. Her experience in pageantry has allowed her to help others with their journey in the industry as a coach, judge, volunteer, and director. She is the Founder and Lead Writer of The Queen Next Door LLC, an organization dedicated to empowering young women and girls by helping them look good, do good, and feel good all at the same time.

She currently holds the title of Miss Five Boroughs in the Miss America Organization and will be competing for the job of Miss New York in May 2022.
